Instruction & Technique
Water safety is a skill. We teach it as one.
Recognition, prevention and rescue technique for anyone responsible for people around water — parents, pool staff, camp counselors and homeowners. Instructional training, not a lifeguard credential.
What We Cover
Drowning rarely looks like it does in films.
Most people picture splashing and shouting. Real drowning is usually quiet and fast, and it often happens with adults nearby. Training starts by teaching you what it actually looks like — then works through what to do next.
- Recognizing active and passive drowning
- Scanning and supervision habits that actually work
- Reach and throw rescue technique — safest first
- Knowing when entering the water is the wrong choice
- Getting a person out and onto a hard surface
- Moving straight into CPR once they are out
- Layers of protection around a home or facility pool

Response technique drilled as a group.
Who This Is For
Anyone responsible for people near water.
Parents & homeowners
If you own a pool or your children swim at one, this is the training that matters most — supervision, layered barriers and what to do in the first sixty seconds.
Camps & facilities
Water safety instruction for counselors, coaches and pool staff, delivered on-site and built around your own facility and its layout.
Associations & clubs
Community sessions for HOAs, swim clubs and neighbourhood groups who share a pool and want everyone prepared.
This is instruction, not lifeguard certification
Circle of Lifesaving teaches water safety and rescue technique. We do not issue lifeguard certification or renewals. If your role requires a lifeguard credential, you will need a certifying body that offers it — we're happy to point you in the right direction. Our CPR, AED and First Aid courses are certified through A.S.H.I. and pair naturally with this training.
